Your account
Do you need one?
Section titled “Do you need one?”Not to start. The first chapter needs no account, and your place is kept in your browser (chapters and progress). An account keeps your place across computers, and it’s what opens the chapters after the first one (at the end of a chapter).
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Choose Continue with Google, or Use your email address instead to get a one-time sign-in link in any mailbox. There’s no Keyfolk password to remember, so there’s none to leak. Apple and Facebook sign-in are on the way. One address is one account, whichever way you sign in.
Anything this browser saved before you signed in comes with you: your place, your unlocked chapters, and your totals. Nothing is counted twice.
What an account keeps
Section titled “What an account keeps”- Who you are: your display name, the address you signed in with, and when you joined.
- Where you are: your chapter and slide, and which chapters are open to you.
- Your totals: chapters finished.
- How you like to learn: the learning-style sliders you set, and a tally of the choices you made in the story.
- Your plan: free or Premium.
- Your feedback: survey answers linked to your account, including ones you gave before signing in.
It keeps nothing about how fast you type, what you got wrong, or how long you spent on a screen (privacy and your data).
On your account page
Section titled “On your account page”Open it from the round mark at the top right of the home page, or from Your account in the menu. There you can:
- change what Keyfolk calls you, and turn Email updates on or off;
- see your place, the chapters open to you, and how many you’ve finished;
- set the How you like to learn sliders and press Save;
- see your plan and what Premium adds;
- read and delete any of your feedback answers;
- Sign out, or Delete your account.
Playing on two computers
Section titled “Playing on two computers”Sign in on both. You get every chapter either one had unlocked, and whichever place is further along. Neither computer ever moves the other backwards.
Deleting your account
Section titled “Deleting your account”Delete your account at the bottom of the account page asks once, then removes your profile, your place, your totals, and your survey answers, and cancels any active subscription.
